Translation
Translations are made by highly-qualified native-language professionals who have been rigorously selected using specific tests. In general, we select translators who work in the country where the target language is spoken because they are more in touch with the evolution of the language itself and its subtleties. Nevertheless, we are in constant contact with them and each translation project is constantly monitored by a Project Manager.
Thanks to globalization and computer tools, distances are no longer a problem!
In particular, we do translations from and to the following languages:
Albanian, Arabic, Bosnian, Bulgarian, Czech, Chinese (simplified and traditional), Croatian, Danish, Dutch, English (British and American), Estonian, Flemish, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Icelandic, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latvian, Lithuanian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese (European and Brazilian), Rumanian, Russian, Serbian, Slovak, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, and Vietnamese.
Translations can be made in other languages or particular linguistic combinations upon request.
Use of CAT tools (CAT = Computer Aided Translation)
Translations are made with the aid of constantly-updated CAT tools (assisted translation tools such as SDL Trados® or Déjà Vu®) that maintain terminological uniformity and save the client time (faster turnaround) and money (discounts are applied for internal repetitions and translations recaptured from similar documents).
In particular, in assisted translation, the software progressively builds a constantly-growing database of specialized terms while comparing each sentence to similar sentences in its memory. This method is especially useful for technical texts characterized by heavy use of industry jargon
